11. We support mandatory best management practices (BMP), and that the rancher must employ good husbandry in order to be eligible for any control and compensation.

12. We support designation of ‘predator friendly’ status for ranchers that use best management practices, employ good husbandry, and utilize non-lethal preventive activities such as guard animals. We also support incentive programs such as higher compensation rates for ‘predator friendly’ ranches.

13. We support a wolf livestock loss compensation program that is given only to claims that have scientifically verified wolf losses. We believe compensation should be denied to ranchers that fail to make improvements in husbandry techniques that would protect livestock.
